Water Repellent Spray for Suede

Before you begin, use only on clean, completely dry suede.

Apply in a well-ventilated outdoor area or near an open window.

Always test on a hidden area first and allow it to dry completely before treating the entire shoe. Some suedes may develop a slightly deeper tone after application.

Step 1. Brush
Using a suede brush, gently remove dust and dirt from the entire shoe. Never spray on dirty suede, as the coating can lock dirt into the fibres.

Step 2. Shake
Shake the bottle vigorously for 10–15 seconds.

Step 3. Spray
Hold the bottle 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) away. Apply one light, even coat using slow sweeping motions. Avoid soaking any one area. A light mist works better than a heavy application.

Step 4. Repeat
Wait 10–15 minutes.
Apply a second light coat for maximum protection. Two thin coats provide better water repellency than one heavy coat.

Step 5. Let it Dry
Leave the shoes to dry naturally for 12–24 hours before wearing. Do not use a hairdryer, heater or direct sunlight to speed up drying.

Step 6. Brush Again
Once dry, lightly brush the suede to restore its soft texture and nap.

Reapplication

1. Every 2–3 months with regular wear.
2. After deep cleaning.
3. Whenever water no longer beads on the surface
4. For daily wear during monsoon, monthly reapplication may provide the best protection.
